The fair is opened on Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27, for children in preschool through second grade to ride the kiddie rides, walk through the livestock barns and participate in educational exhibits. The children are escorted on their trip through the fair and water will be available. All of this is at no cost to the children.
This year D.A.R.E. , a SWAT unit, a fire truck, the SWEPCO electricity trailer, portable park, bee keeper, ECCO Bus Services, the librarian with a story, Fort St. Jean Baptiste in costume and churning butter, and Wheels on Water will be available for the kids to explore.
Escorts will be furnished by F.F.A., ROTC, and 4H members who will assume leadership roles in guiding groups through the fair.
